The dynamic behaviors of a steel box girder bridge under seismic excitations are examined with consideration of soil-structure interaction. The considered bridge is analyzed via the commercial FEM code MIDAb 니vil and SAP2000. Modal analysis and time history analysis are conducted to determine the effect of the soil-structure interaction. Soil-structure interactions are examined by using the equivalent linear dynamic stiffness, and the results are compared with those from the methods specified in the Korean standard design specification. It is found that the effects of the soil-structure interaction of the foundations are not quite significant, but the maxima are larger than those of the bridge without consideration of the SSI.
