The physical properties of Cu~Zr alloys to be used as the electrode tip of spot-welding machine in the automobile industry have been investigated w ith the variation of Zr content and heat treatment condition in this study. The Cu~Zr alloys to contain 0.1~ 0.2w t% Zr have showed the best electrical conductivity and hardness. On the other hand, the solution heat treatment at 900~950°C for 30 m ins and the aging treatm ent at 480 〜 510oC for 3 —4 hrs have been proved as the proper heat treatment condition in Cu-Zr alloys.
