Childcare Teacher’s Job Personality Type and Job Stress by Holland Aptitude Inventory

The purpose of this study was to investigate the childcare teacher s job stress related with their vocational personality types employing Holland Aptitude Inventory. Participants were 120 childcare teachers in Chungnam province. They responded to Holland Aptitude Inventory and the scale of childcare teacher s job stress. The collected data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation, x2 test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan test for post hoc test by SPSS PC program(18.0 version). Results were as follows. First, the highest frequency of childcare teachers job personality type was the social type, and there were significant differences in their job personality types. Second, childcare teacher s job stress level was under average, but the job stress from childcare activities was the highest among subfactors of their job stress. Third, there were significant differences in relationship with their fellow teachers and relationship with the children s parents. Finally, there was a significant difference in relationship with their fellow teachers according to the social type and the non-social type.
