Pan/Tilt Angle of Video Camera is very useful for automatic installment of detection area in CCTV on highways. In this paper, at first, we derive equations of lines indicating roadsides on the highway by difference image method, morphology and Least Square Method (LSM). When moving video camera, equations of lines indicating roadsides is different form the first. Here, the difference of angle of line slope provides a klue of which we estimate the pan/tilt angle. This approximation of pan/tilt angle is supposed for moving video camera by transformation. Experiments have been conducted on image data captured at CCTV camera installed 15 M high in Cheongju Interchange (IC) downstream. The equation of the lines of traffic lane is derived from the images of 640*480 pixel or 320*280 pixel, 256 gray level.
