학령전기 비구어 자폐 아동의 언어 발달을 위한 음악치료의 실제 사례 분석을 통한 이론적 고찰

Literature Review of Music Therapy for Language Development among children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders(ASD)

본 연구는 만 6세에서 7세 사이의 학령전기 자폐 아동 중 발성의 단계 혹은 단 단어 형식의 언어 발달 수준에 있는 자폐 아동을 위한 음악치료 중재의 이론적 고찰을 통해서, 음악치료의 이론적 근거를 제시 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자폐 아동들에게서 관찰되는 음악환경 내 반응을 4가지로 구분하여 1) 청각 자극을 포함한 기타 감각 자극에 대한 반응, 2) 언어 자극과 음악 자극의 처리과정과 음악에 대한 반응, 3) 정서 및 동기유발을 위한 음악의 사용과 4)음악 고유의 특징인 구조와 반복성에 관해 자폐 아동들이 보이는 반응 관련 문헌들을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 본 문헌 고찰의 이해를 돕기 위해 실제 음악치료를 받고 있는 6세 자폐 여자 아동의 음악치료 세션 내 반응 행동을 실례로 제시하여 이론적 배경의 현장에서의 적용의 예를 함께 살펴보았다.

This study is to review the music therapy literature regarding language development for children with autistic spectrum disorders(ASD). In order to increase the understanding of theoretical bases of music therapy, the authors categorize music-related responses of ASD children into four areas including 1) responses to auditory and other sensory stimulation; 2) processing the verbal and musical stimulation and responses to music; 3) the use of music for emotion and motivation; and 4) responses to musical structure and musical repetition. One example of a six-year-old girl with ASD who is receiving music therapy was described in association with above four categories.
