신입생 동기유발 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 교사동기 및 교직열정에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Freshmen Motivational Program on Teacher Motivation and Passion for Teaching of Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers

본 연구는 신입생 동기유발 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 교사동기 및 교직열정에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 예비유아교사의 자질 함양을 증진시킴에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2017년 3월 1일부터 3월 28일까지 4주 동안 G시에 소재하는 N대학교 유아교육과의 1학년 신입생 31명을 대상으로 신입생 동기유발 프로그램에 실시하였다. 본 연구를 위한 검사도구로는 김현진(2012)과 박보라(2014)의 교사동기 척도와 김현진(2012)의 교직열정 척도를 활용하였다. 신입생 동기유발 프로그램에 참여한 31명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 수집된 자료는 대응표본 t-검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 첫째, 신입생 동기유발 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 전체적인 교사동기에 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 지적자극, 아이들과의 활동, 자기평가, 애타주의 정신, 일의성격 등의 하위요소 모두 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 신입생 동기유발 프로그램이 예비유아교사의 교직열정에 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 열정, 조화로운 열정, 집착적인 열정 등의 하위요소 모두 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나 예비유아교사로서 갖추어야 할 자질인 교사동기 및 교직열정 함양에 긍정적인 효과가 있음이 규명되었다.

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of pre-service early childhood teachers by analyzing the effects of freshmen motivational program on teacher motivation and passion for teaching of pre-service early childhood teachers. This study was carried out in the freshman motivational program for 31 freshman students attending the early childhood education department of N university located in G city for four weeks from March 1 to March 28, 2017. This study utilized a teacher motivation scale by Kim Hyeon.jin (2012) and Park Bo.ra (2014), who modified and supplemented MOTS of Sinclair and Dowson (2008) as a test tool for measuring teacher motivation and passion for teaching of pre-service early childhood teachers, and a passion for teaching scale developed by Vallerand et al. (2003) and modified by Kim Hyeon.jin (2012). To collect the data of this study, 31 respondents who participated in the freshmen motivational program were surveyed and the response data were used as the analysis data of this study. The collected data were subjected to a corresponding sample t.test. From the results of this study, it was shown that the freshmen motivational program had a significant effect on teacher motivation and passion for teaching of pre-service early childhood teachers, which demonstrates that there is a positive effect on cultivating qualities that should be provided as pre-service early childhood teachers.
