간호대학생의 의사소통 역량 강화를 위한 대인간 의사소통, 자아존중감 및 우울에 관한 연구

A Study on Interpersonal Communication, Self-esteem, and Depression for Reinforcing Competence in Communication of Nursing Students

본 연구는 간호대학생의 의사소통 역량 강화를 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 대인간 의사소통 정도와 자아존중감 및 우울의 정도를 파악하고, 각 변인들 간의 관련성 및 대인간 의사소통 정도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 시행되었다. 서술적 상관관계 연구로 본 연구의 대상자는 D시에 소재하는 D대학 간호학과 2학년 학생으로 의사소통론 과목 수강예정인 학생(42명)이다. 자료는 2016년 9월에 자가보고식 설문조사를 통해 수집되었고, SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 평균과 표준편차, Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis, Pearson correlation coefficient 및 Stepwise regression으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 자아존중감 및 우울은 대인간 의사소통 수준과 유의한 상관관계를 보였으며, 대인간 의사소통에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 친한 친구 수와 우울인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 향후 의사소통역량 강화를 위해 간호대학생의 대인관계 친밀도와 우울의 정도를 파악하고, 각 대학의 교우관계 친밀감을 향상시키기 위한 다양한 중재프로그램 개발 및 효과적인 심리-정신적 중재서비스 마련이 필요함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among interpersonal communication, self-esteem, and depression and factors influencing interpersonal communication in nursing students in an university. As a descriptive correlation study, subjects were second year nursing students (n=42) who were going to take part in communication class. Data were collected using a questionnaire in September 2016 and analyzed with frequencies, means, mann whitney, kruskal wallis, pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise regression using SPSS 23.0 program. There were significant correlations between self-esteem and interpersonal communication, between depression and interpersonal communication. Most of all, the number of close friends and depression significantly affected interpersonal communication. This study suggests the need to investigate the degree of intimacy in interpersonal relationships, depression for reinforcing competence in communication of nursing students. In addition, it is necessary for each university to develop interventions for poor interaction with peer groups and arrange effective psychological help services.
