Non-Tariff Measurements(NTMs) for importing Kimchi include sanitary and phyto-sanitary issues such as labelling, testing and traceability requirements, tolerance limits for residues, product registration requirement, hygienic requirement, and etc. This research studies on measuring ad-valorem equivalents of NTMs for importing Kimchi focused on China. Import demand function for Kimchi indicates 11.6～13.1% of ad-valorem equivalents of NTMs from China, which is almost 50% of most favored nation tariff rate in 2012. Import volumes for Kimchi would have been almost doubled without NTMs in China.
