The experienced implication about unequal spaceuse of woman

This study is to search for spatial implication from gender s point of view in recent Korean society, focusing on the residential area. Especially the confucian ideas has greatly influenced the space of residential area in Korea. From old times, woman s space with gender bias has been given as social recognition, law and custom regulated. Even though, in modern times, the development of residential space seemed to show the quality of the both sexes, woman has been confined to a specified space designed by man. The specified for woman regulated her own activity and justified gender bias by herself. In a conclusion, however, the value of woman should be reconsidered and woman has to take an important role in planning residential space.
