후기 하타요가 문헌 연구 (I)

A Study on the Hathayoga Literature - based on 16th -17tth c. Literature

하타요가 문헌은 9-12세기부터 19세기까지 지속적으로 작성되었고 따라서 적지 않은 문헌이 존재하지만 현재까지 출판된 하타요가 원전은 약 30여개에 불과하며 아직 출판되지 않은 필사본, 심지어 존재한다는 사실조차 알려지지 않은 필사본도 적지 않다. 하타요가 문헌에 대한 연구와 번역 그리고 하타요가의 독창적인 수행체계에 대한 연구는 물론이고 하타요가 문헌의 전체 규모나 윤곽을 파악하는 것이 시급하다고 할 수 있다. 필자는 2010년 불교학연구 제8호에 중기 하타요가 문헌을 개괄한 바 있는데 여기서 계속해서 17세기 이후 하타요가 문헌, 육따브하바데와, 하타라뜨나왈리, 게란다상히따, 요가까르니까 를 소개하고자 한다.

From the dawn of 9 -12 centuries through the apogee of 15th century to 18th century, the amount of the Hathayoga literature is supposed to have been enormous. Since 1890, however, there have been publications of about 30 works until now, the entire scale of the literature still incomprehensible and the study on the Hathayoga literature has been limited severely until now. For the 100 years until now, there have been publications of about 10 research works of academic worth. This article, first of all, purports to deal with the characteristics and main contents of the Hathayoga literature, investigating their construction from 17 th century to 18 th century.
