再認識論(pratyabhijna)의 쿤달리니 이론 연구

이 논문에서 소우주와 대우주의 대응 관계를 쉬바파 일원론의 중요 철학중 하나인 재인식론(再認識論, pratyabhijna)의 쿤달리니 이론을 통해 고찰하였다. 소우주와 대우주의 대응 관계는 재인식론 뿐만 아니라 힌두탄트리즘의 가장 중요한 개념이다. 재인식론에서는 개체는 보편적 의식(혹은 쉬바)이 응축된 실재로 보고 있다. 그래서 마치 쉬바가 전 우주를 자신의 육체로 가지듯이, 개체는 응축된 우주인 육체를 가진다고 재인식론은 주장한다. 본 논문은 이런 재인식론의 입장을 특히 쿤달리니 이론을 통해 고찰하였다. 이 연구가 향후에 힌두탄트라의 형이상학을 근간으로 하는 하타요가의 형이상학 체계를 연구할 때 도움이 되기를 바란다.

This paper intends to show that macro-universe is corresponding to the body as micro-universe through the study of kundalini theory held in pratyabhijna system(self-recognition) which is one of main philosophies of saiva monism. The theory that macrocosm and microcosm are not different and reflect on each other is the key idea not only in Hindu tantrism, also in pratyabhijna system. Pratyabhijna philosophers insist that individual being or individual consciousness is the condensation of universal consciousness(samvit, citi). They say that individual being or individual consciousness has a body as micro-universe which is not different from macro-universe, but only condensed form, such as Shiva has whole universe as his body. I hope this study will be helpful for, in future, an in-depth study on the relation between pratyabhijna system and hatha yoga thought which are both belong to the tradition of Hindu tantrism.
