This paper attempts to construct a hedonic price model to estimate the implicit price for characteristics of fresh apple in Korean, especially Kyungpook Province, Each apple represents a unique combination of genetic characteristics. The results show that apple industry needs to be changed to improve apple quality for consumers. Some characteristics which influence to apple price can help producers, cooperatives, and packinghouses to take more effective actions in production and post-harvest handling. This analysis might provide information for producing and marketing decisions. It will also help consumers can purchase good quality-apples, which is consistent with their preference.
