Where Is and Should Korean Agricultural Economics Go?

The job market for agricultural economics students has been reported tighter in recent years. As a result, we are now experiencing declining number of majors and students in agricultural economics. In this paper, an overview was given concerning how these changes have impacted agricultural economics at level of academic programs and job market, and especially how agricultural economists should adjust themselves to changing structure of farm and food industry in the future. Some recommendations were suggested as follows; 1) academic program for adopting the want of food business 2) strong financial support for varying research areas 3) help system for students’ efforts in gaining employment.
