The effects of agricultural price on national economy were estimated by using time series data of 1955-1974. The extimated double logarithm funtions provide the elasticities of the dependent variables concerned with respet to the explanating variables used. Increase in wholesale price of agrivultural products by 10 pencent resulted din increase in general price level by 4.2%, wage level of manufacturing industry by 0.6%, real farm income by 1.8%, real farm economic surplus by 26%, urban engel coefficient by 1.1%, rural engel codfficient by 5.1%, import of agrivultural products by 23% and devrease in real saving deposit by 4.9%, respectively. These extimated results imply that (1) agricultural price leads the general price level directly and indirectly due to its secondary effect on prices of non-agricultural products and services, (2) farm income is changed positively with change in agricultural price, and (3) increase in agricultural price results in deficiency of balance of payment of agricultural trade.
