민회빈의 경영실천에 대한 고찰

A Consideration of the Management Practice of the Crown Princess Minhoebin

본고에서는 민회빈의 경영적인 활동을 고찰하였다. 민회빈은 당시 심양관에서 파견된 조선관료 집단의 경영 CEO로서 역할 하였다고 평가된다. 민회빈의 리더십은 소현세자에 대한 지원과 대리 등에서 나타난다. 국제경영 측면에서 소현세자부부는 청나라에 필요한 물자의 공급 등 국제적인 교역에 힘썼다. 북경 체류 시에는 선교사 아담 샬과의 교류 등 해외정보의 수집을 위한 귀중한 기회를 가졌다. 생산운영관리 측면에서 민회빈은 성공적인 농장경영을 운영하였다. 심양관은 자급자족할 수 있었고 여유자금으로는 피로인의 속환까지 병행할 수 있었다. 재무관리 측면에서, 귀국 시 소현세자 부부가 소장한 재산은 30억 753 만 189원으로 추산된다. 이것은 교역과 농장운영 등의 경영활동이 성공적이었음을 방증한다.

In this paper, I have considered the managerial activities of the Crown Princess Minhoebin. Minhoebin had played as the chief executive officer of the government officials dispatched from Seoul in the Guest House of Shenyang. Minhoebin had played remarkable leadership with her support to the Crown Prince Sohyunseja. The couple of Sohyunseja had traded with the Ching Dynasty, supplying materiels needed to the people. It was a kind of global management. When they had stayed in Beijing, they had precious opportunities of collecting informations from abroad, contacting with the missionary Adam Schall. Like a production manager, Minhoebin had operated successfully large-scale farms for 3 years. The crew of government officials in the Guest House of Shenyang could live itself sufficiently, and Minhoebin had redeemed the captives in the Ching Dynasty with the surplus fund from farm management. Financially, the couple of Sohyunseja had carried $ 2,576,043 when they had returned home permanently. That money shows how successful their management in global trade and farm operation really were.
