조선 후기 표해록에 대한 경영사적 고찰

Historical Research on the Record of Castaway on the Sea (Pyohaerok) in Managerial Perspective

본 연구는 경영사적 측면에서 우리나라 조선 후기의 표해록을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 조선시대 표해록의 특징을 분석하고, 조선 후기에 나타난 서양의 표해록과 탐험기록을 비교 분석하였다. 그리고 경영사적 측면에서 나타난 시사점을 도출하여 현대적 활용방안과 경영전략을 제시하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 점에서 대부분 역사적, 문화적인 측면에서 진행되었던 기존의 선행연구와 차별성을 띠고 있다. 본 연구의 결과, 조선 후기 표해록을 통해 살펴본 경영사적 시사점과 경영전략을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 표해록은 세계 각국에서 새로운 정보를 전달하는 역할을 수행한 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 표해록을 통한 정보가 국내에 전파되고 활용되는 과정에서 정부, 전문가 및 언론의 역할이 매우 중요함을 발견하였다. 즉, 정부의 정책, 지식인의 활약, 인쇄술을 통한 보급 확산이 국가와 시대의 발전에 큰 역할을 하게 된다. 이 과정에서 상황에 맞는 리더십이 발휘되어야 함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 글로벌 환경 변화에 대해 적극적으로 대응하고, 국제화의 흐름을 활용하여 창의적으로 발전 계승하는 방안이 필요하다. 넷째, 각 지자체에서는 표해록과 관련된 지역의 관광자원을 적극 활용하고 일자리 창출을 늘리는 전략적 활용 방안이 강화되어야 한다. 최근 2000년도 이후로 접어들면서 표해록에 대한 관심은 더욱 높아지고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 당시 쇄국정책을 펼쳤던 조선후기의 상황에서 교훈을 얻어야 한다. 21세기 빠르게 변하고 있는 글로벌 경제 및 경영 환경에 대해 소홀할 경우 또 다른 위험을 당하지 않도록 지혜를 모아야 할 것으로 판단된다.

This paper focused on historical perspective of managerial characteristics of the record of castaways on th sea (Pyohaerok). Especially, we analysed most of Pyohaerok which published the Chosun Dynasty in 17th century. We summarized the strategic implications and managerial strategy investigated through the Pyohaerok. So far, most of prior studies have been conducted historical aspect or cultural analysis. However, this study focused on the analysis of the Pyohaerok on managerial perspective. Therefore these are the differentiations of this study from the prior studies. The main results of this study are as follows: First, the Pyohaerok were confirmed that serves to pass the new information from all over the world. Second, the information from the Pyohaerok found in the process of being propagated and utilized in domestic government, experts and the very important role of the media. In other words, it becomes a big role in the policy by the government, intellectuals, development of typography spread through the country and spread the era. The leadership should be exerted in these process. Third, it need a way that proactively and creatively develop succession by utilizing the global environmental change. Fourth, local governments should be actively used relating to the Pyohaerok even as a tourism resources of the region and strengthen the strategy to increase job creation.
