In this study, I tried to analyze four famous protest songs sung by Egyptian music artists in the Tahrir square in Cairo in the Arab Spring. Since protest songs have influenced the Egyptian revolution in 2011, the purpose of this research was to probe into the motifs how the music of protest songs could help the protesters being united and rallied out for the demonstrations in the Tahrir square where the anti-Mubarak demonstration occurred. For this, I examined themes and linguistic aspects of the four protest songs.
