A Rhizomic Model and Communal Entrepreneurship - Perspective from a Metaphysics of Process -

In recent years, turbulent and changing environment in which firms operate has intensified. Firms would do well to encourage the talent and creativity of their employees in order to achieve success. But we are not good at thinking change or movement. Our instinctive skills favour the fixed and the static, the separate and the self-contained. Our dominant model of change in general and entrepreneurship in particular are paradoxically couched in the language of equilibrium. Therefore the aim of this paper seek to offer an alternative model of change(Rhizome) which affords a better understanding of the inherent dynamic complexities and intrinsic indeterminacy of the concept of entrepreneurship. Adopting a process perspective on entrepreneurship, the notion of entrepreneuring is introduced, this notion grasps how communal support for entrepreneuring may be mobilized.
