포용적 제도와 경제민주화

Inclusive Institutions and Economic Democratization

본고는 경제민주화가 포용적 경제제도와 정치제도를 확립하는 것을 방해할 수 있기 때문에 풍요와 번영을 위해서는경제민주화보다는 포용적 제도 확립에 도움이 되는 대안을 모색할 필요가 있다는 주장을 전개한다. 특히 경제정의와 자유의 조화를가능하게 하는 시장민주주의의 확립과경제윤리와 도덕의 창달 및 이를 뒷받침할 기독교적􀀁 접근방법에대해서논의한다.

This paper argues that, since “economic democratization” may prevent ‘inclusive’ economic and political institutions from being fully established, the efforts to impose economic democratization measures on the current economic system should be replaced by the attempts that may help consolidate inclusive institutions with a view to achieving economic prosperity. Laying the foundation for ‘market democracy’ is one way to establish inclusive institutions that help simultaneously secure ‘fairness and freedom.’ This paper also looks into the implications of economic ethics and morality for the ‘deepening and expanding‘ of inclusive institutions and the applicability of lessons learned from Christian teachings to the enhancement of morality and ethics in economic behavior.
