Leadership Studies is one of the research areas that attract the history of the oldest and most interesting in the social sciences. This same is true also in the North study. Why this way, it will be a study done a lot of North Korean leadership? Although there are many reasons, but came because North Korea is ruled by the Personal dictatorship more than half a century. In addition, North Korea has built three hereditary system. Therefore, leadership research been the most interesting research among all study about North Korean. But, When a reviewing previous research, many researchers did not applied leadership theory So, I will review previous research only that applied leadership theory. and look at the research trends and issues. Based on its analysis, I try to set the type of leadership of Kim Jong Un toward a modern leadership theory. Because, I want to show that North Korean s leadership research also can applied with the modern leadership theory beyond traditional leadership theory. Also, I have seen it as the good challenge to extend of the research methods.
