The producer preference, producer welfare and efficiency of revenue insurance are analyzed and compared with those of yield insurance using producer preference model and numerical simulation. The results of preference model indicate that producers prefer revenue insurance to yield insurance. The results of numerical simulation show that revenue insurance is more efficient than yield insurance. These results imply that revenue insurance program is applicable in apple production.
