The Consumer s Preference for Beef Using Conjoint Analysis

The purpose of this paper is to estimate the preference of consumer for beef using conjoint analysis. The consumer`s preference, dependent variable, which is represented in the form of ordinal scale was analyzed. The data was collected from 1,000 samples in Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, Kwangju, Taejeon, in 2000. From the empirical results, this study identifies several attributes and levels of the beef influencing consumer`s utilities and suggests reasonable measures to satisfy consumer`s preference on beef.
