The Encounter of Korea and Persia

This paper is designed to study the cultural co-ownership between Korea and Persia. This study is divided into three parts. The first part deals with a historical background of the encounter of Korean culture and Persian culture. The second part deals with some relics of co-ownership between two cultures. The third part examines a lot of Persian cultural traces in the Korean culture. The regular cultural encounter between Korea and Persia has begun from the 7th century. This encounter proceeded tangibly and intangibly, and resulted into a regular cultural exchange between them. The cultural exchange has proved by a lot of excavations in Korea. The proofs of cultural exchange between Korea and Persia have improved mutual understanding of two countries, and have developed their own traditional culture. It is said this is a proof of their cultural co-ownership.
