『日本書紀』 한반도관계기사에 보이는 吉備氏에대하여

A Study on the Kibi clan of the articles related to the Korean Peninsula in Ibonseogi

본고는『日本書紀』에 나타나는 吉備氏의 한반도 관계 기사를 통해 고대 吉備 지역의 한일관계를 재조명하고자 하였다. 그동안 吉備氏에 대해서는 천황중심주의로 윤색되었던 『日本書紀』의 사관 때문에 任 那經營과 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있었다는 인식이 전제가 되었다. 하지만, 吉備氏의 한반도 관계 기사를 고찰하면 백제가 선진문물을 지원하고 왜의 군사 파견이라는백제와왜의기본적인구도안에서한반도와의교류현황을살펴볼수있다. 결국 吉備氏의 경우 본래는 세토내해를 기반으로 한 해양과 관련 있는 씨족으로 파악 할 수 있으며 吉備氏의 성격을 잘 나타내주고 있는 吉備海部直의 존재는 한반도와 연결 되는 해상 세력으로 吉備 지역의 배경을 구체적으로 설명해주고 있다고 할 수 있다. 특히 吉備海部直은 백제의 선진문물을 보유한 渡倭人의 인도, 백제 日羅의 소환, 고구 려 사신과의 접촉 등을 통해 등장하고 있는데, 이는 언어적인 문제와 밀접한 관련성이 있는 것이다. 때문에 이들 吉備氏가 백제어를 비롯한 한반도 언어에 능통한 인물로서 한반도에서 왔던 인물일 가능성을 배제할 수 없다. 결국 고대 吉備 지역에서 보이는 渡倭人들의 人名, 地名, 遺跡 또한 백제와의 관련성이 높은 것을 알 수 있기 때문에 고대 吉備 지역의 한일관계는 우선적으로 百濟와 吉備 의 관계 속에서 판단해야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to re-examine Korea-Japan relations in the an-cient through the Kibi clan of the articles related to the Korean Peninsula in Ibonseogi. When we examined the Kibi clan’s articles related to the Korean peninsula, we could know that Baekje supported advanced cultural heritage and Wa dis-patched the military to Baekje. In the end, the Kibi clan could be understood as the clan related to the ocean based on the Seto Inland Sea and the Kibinoamanoatai clan could be described the background of the Kibi region as a maritime power connected with the Korean peninsula. In particular, the Kibinoamanoatai clan appear through the contact of the Baekje, Koguryo people and they are likely to come from the Korean pen-insula as the people who are fluent in Korean language including Baekje. Also it can be seen that the people, places and relics of the ancient Kibi area are highly related to Baekje. Therefore, the relationship between Korea and Japan in the ancient Kibi area should be judged preferentially in the relationship between Baekje and Kibi.
