A Study of the Comparative Literature of Korean and Japanese Modern Poetry

この論文は日本の萩原朔太郎と韓国の詩人である柳致環の作品の世界を比較したものである。留学生であった柳致環は萩原朔太郎の作品を好んで読んだことは知られている。萩原朔太郎の作品の中では猫がよく登場する。たとえば第2詩集に｢青猫｣や猫が登場する。詩だけでなく小説｢猫町｣にも猫が登場する。柳致環の作品にも猫が登場するのが目立つし、二人の作品の世界の中で猫は共通する詩のモチーフである。二人の作品を比較してみた結果、影響関係があるのではないかと思われる。萩原朔太郎と同じ四季派として活動した伊藤静雄の｢燕｣は柳致環の｢旗｣とよく似ている。柳致環の｢旗｣の発表が伊藤静雄より一年六ヶ月早いのである。これは伊藤静雄が柳致環の作品をパスティーシュしたこととして考えられる。影響関係の面で見ればこれは今までの状況と相当違う面があるに違いない。これからでもこういう分野での有機的な研究が必要であると思われる。

This article studies the world of the art of Hagiwara Sakutaro and Yoo Chi hwan. Hagiwara was affected by the French symbolists and the works of Baudelaire are discussed as an influencing relationship. In the literary works of Yoo Chihwan who went through studying in Japan during the Japanese colonial era, it seems that there was an influencing relationship between the two poets and they mainly show the pastiche style. This pastiche style seems to affect not the whole works, but is close to the 2nd stage of the Bloom’s effect stage; in other words, it is quite close to “tessera”. Itou sizuo, one of the four seasonists as in the case of Hagiwara Sakutaro, produced the work entitled “The Swallow”, which quite resembles “The Flag” of Yoo Chihwan. The publication of the first work of Yoo Chihwan is one and a half year earlier than that of Itou Sizuo’s work. It seems that Itou Sizuo did pastiche Hagiwara Sakutaro’s works. It is caused by the Japanese poet influenced by the Korean poet. When we consider it was Japan, the channel of the trend of the Western literature, it is a quite rare phenomenon in the history.
