The purpose of this study is to analyze landslide that occurred in Yongin area in 1991 using spatial databese. For this, landslide locations are detected from aerial photographs interpretation adn field survey. The locations of landslide, topography, soil, forest and geology were constructed to sparial database usinf Geographic Information System (GIS). To establish occurrence factors of landslide, slope, aspect and curvature of topography were calculated from the ropographic database. Texture, material, drainage and sffective thickness of soil were extracted from the soil database. Lothology was extracted from the the geological database, and land use was classified from the TM satallite image. Landslide was analyzed usinf spatial correlation between the landslide and the landslide occurrence factors by bivariate probability methods. GIS was used ro analyze vast data sfficiently and statistical programs were used ro maintain specialty and accuracy. The result can be used to provention of hazard, land use planning and construction planninf as basic data.
