유산기부 의향에 대한 영향요인 탐색

The Exploratory Study about Factors on Charitable Bequest Intention

본 연구는 아름다운재단의 「기부에 대한 국민인식조사(2012)」자료를 활용하여 우리나라 시민의 유산기부의향 정도를 파악하고 유산기부의향에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 유산기부의향에 대한 예측요인으로는 인구사회학적 요인, 심리적·정치적 성향 요인, 나눔경험 관련 요인으로 크게 구분하여 검증을 실시하였으며, 분석에는 이항로지스틱 회귀분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 인구사회학적 요인에서는 교육수준(+)과 월 가구소득(+)이 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 유산기부의향과 관련성을 갖는 것으로 나타났고, 심리적·정치적 성향 요인에서는 이념성향(+)만이 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 관련성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 나눔경험 관련 요인에서는 자선적 기부(+), 종교적 기부(+), 나눔교육경험(+)이 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 유산기부의향에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 아직까지 유산기부와 관련한 연구가 부족한 상황에서 유산기부에 관련한 이해의 폭을 넓히고 유산기부 활성화를 위한 전략을 마련하는데 유용한 자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 지닌다.

This study attempts to explore the factors affecting charitable bequest intention. For the analysis, this study utilized Giving Korea 2012 data constructed by the biennial national survey by the Beautiful Foundation. This study examines the effects of citizens’ demographic factors, socio-psychological factors and philanthropic experience factors by employing a binominal logistic regression model. The findings show that education degree(+) and income(+) have statistically significant effects on charitable bequest intention among demographic factors. Also, political disposition(+) among socio-psychological factors and secular giving(+), religious giving(+) and experience of philanthropic education(+) among philanthropic experience factors have statistically significant effects on charitable bequest intention. Under the lack of study on charitable bequest, this study can broaden and promote the understanding on charitable bequest intention and influential factors. Moreover, it raises several implications for future research and strategic practice on charitable bequest as a important resource of NPOs.
