A Study on the translation and introduction of South Korean children s literature in China in the Early 20th Century

In the early 20th century, six separate editions of South Korean children s literature works, including Korean Legend and Korean Fairy-tale, were translated and published in China. Repeatedly republished, these works center on entertainment and manner, especially the latter, which arouse public concerns and interest. Assaulted and colonized by Japanese Empire then, long-suffering Chinese and South Korean people shew a genuine sympathy for a community with shared destiny, which reflected particular social conditions and thus further promoted exchange of Chinese and South Korean literature translation.
