For the shallow depth and strong periodic wind, it assumed that the sea condition of the southern coast in Korea is highly correlated with the fluctuation of wind. The relationship of wind speed and sea surface temperature is investigated in the viewpoint of the short period fluctuations. The fluctuation periods of sea surface temperature and wind speed were interpreted by power spectrum analysis. The dominant periods of sea surface temperature fluctuation are 2.3, 3.3, 4.3, 5.5, 7.0 and 10.0 day and this periods are also the same as to the north-south component of wind speed. Among the fluctuation periods, the most frequently dominant period is 3.3 day. Tune lags of wind speed on the sea surface temperature which were resulted from cross correlation analysis and cross spectrum analysis is before and after 0~2.0 days. This result shows that on southern coastal sea the short period fluctuations of the oceanographic condition are closely related with the wind fluctuations.
