Sea-Air Energy Excbange in Yosu Coastal Sea

The monthly variation of surface beat exchange in Yosu coastal sea was studied using data of monthly mean surface temperature and meteorological parameters averaged for many years and in 1988~1989. Contrary to often Southern Coastal seas,The characteristics of monthly mean surface temperature in Yosu coastal sea are similar to those shown in enclosed bay. The maximum values of solar radiation heat flux(Qs-Qb),evaporative beat flux(Qe) and sensible beat flux(Qb) are shown in summer (May~June), early winter (September~November) and winter (December~January), respectively. From March 1988 to February 1989 when the sea surface temperature is higher than annual average, the values of Qs-Qb, Qe and Qh are higher in summer and lower in winter than annual means. This shows that the sea condition in Yosu coastal sea is varied by changes of meteorological factors principally.
