Phylogeny and taxonomical keys of the family tetraodontidae fishes (teleostei: tetraodontiformes)

Twenty eight species representing 10 genera of the Family Tetraodontidae in Korea redescribed, and provisional keys to species and genera were provided. Cluster analysis method was used for the various morphological and osteological characters to clarify the interrelationship of Family Tetraodontidae. It is hypothesized that the Family Tetraodontidae is divided into two monophyletic groups based on several synapomorphic characters. One group is the genus Canthigaster, and the other is the genera including Takifugu, Sphoeroides, Lagocephalus, Bosemanichthys, Arothron, Chelonodon, Ephippion, Feroxodon and Pleurancanthus.
