A Study on the Effects of Digital Beauty Platforms by the Type of Lifestyle and their Characteristics after Satisfaction among Young Adults : The focus on the 20s

This study attempted to investigate the effects of digital beauty platforms by type of lifestyle and their characteristics after satisfaction. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among a total of 386 adults in their 20s in Daejeon and Chungnam, using the non-probability sampling technique ‘convenience sampling.’ The study results found the following: First, in terms of the type of the multi-content generation’s lifestyle, four types were observed: economic, early-acceptance, virtual-action and entertainment-reform types. In terms of the type of lifestyle using a digital platform, ‘working women in their 20s with a bachelor’s or higher academic degree’ were high. As the average time spent with a smart phone per day increased, the frequency of early acceptance of digital devices and media increased. Women with a bachelor’s or higher academic degree revealed a positive view on the effects of beauty content. Third, in terms of the type of the multi-content generation’s lifestyle, ‘entertainment-reform’, in which people have easy access to a digital device, was high. In an ‘early-acceptance’ type, an easy-to-learn and easily compatible genre was preferred. This study is significant in that its results would be available as basic data for related studies. It has also found that the multi-content generation frequently uses a digital platform both economically and socially as convergence content, which include customer-centered creative ideas.
