The Study on the Actual Status and an Improvement Plan of the Chiropractic in Korea

This study is a part of an alternative medicine; its objective is to study chiropractic practice, in which its effectiveness has already been proven, and to compare the domestic and international operations to suggest its status in Korea and the methods of the improvement. First, the awareness on chiropractic practice differs from the location of the research, as well as from each subject. Secondly, compared to the research results regarding the chiropractic practice and its effectiveness in treatment, the domestic practice have not been fully active; as the process of education and treatment are not operated within a legal institution, the failure of acknowledgment, and obstruction causes the problem. As a result, the direction in which the domestic chiropractic practice should continue on is: the establishment of the role of the chiropractic practice, the provision of the systematic educational process, and the reasonable law enactment and research on institutional proposals for the administrative procedures.
