Is exercising the only way to improve lung capacity (Oxygen intake)? We discovered that lung capacity improves not only with exercises in the thoracic area but also with thoracic vertebrae adjustments expanding thoracic movement. This is according to the comparison of measurement results using spirometry testing. With these adjustments and exercises, the position of the thoracic vertebrae and rib that form the thoracic area, meaning the posture itself has an effect to expand thoracic capacity. In order to improve the respiratory movements, it became clear that physical and physiological effects from thoracic vertebrae adjustment are effective. This study is not purposed to improve lung capacity, however it resulted in the fact that it is helpful for athletes, vocalists or whoever require better breathing capacity than others.
