This study is a survey research conducted for the purpose of identifying the impact of the lumbar spine and lower extremity pain due to posture changes and lifestyles of elementary school teachers. This study was performed during July 15, 2015 through September 16, 2015 included 10 randomly selected schools located in North Gyeongsang, in the Province of Gyeongju. A total 156 participates were frequency analyzed and data collected using the SPSS 18.0 software, the percent(%), correlation analysis, were analyzed by independent t-test. The results were as follows, the body of segmental pain experience oft back pain, 106 patients is 67.9%, shoulder pain, 97 patients is 62.2%, leg/ knee/ ankle pain were found to have experienced 93 patients is 59.6%. In particular, back pain experience was the most common finding. The correlation between disability index lifestyle posture and lumbar pain and relevance r = 0.493 (p<0.01) of relevance to the lumbar disability index r=0.581 (p<0.01), lumbar pain and lumbar disability index and the relation r=0.638 (p<0.01) as it was found that this correlation. Data suggests that lumbar pain and lumbar relevance of the disability index higher was, which means the higher the lumbar disability index, the higher lumbar pain. I suspected that this present study would affect lumbar spine and lower extremity pain with posture changes and lifestyles of elementary school teachers. In the future further studies using different parameters are needed to see if the prevalence of lumbar pain can reduced with recommended improvements in job environment and occupational stress of teachers.
