The Relationship between Early Childhood Teacher’s Language Control Type and Creativity and Differences According to the Traits of Teachers

유아교사의 언어통제유형과 창의성 간의 관계 및 교사특성별 차이

본 연구의 목적은 유아교사들의 언어통제 유형과 창의성 간의 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 서울, 인천, 경기도에 소재하고 있는 어린이집, 유치원에 재직 중인 정교사 140명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 본 연구에서 설정하여 확인한 연구문제는 ‘유아교사의 언어통제 유형과 창의성 간에는 어떠한 상관관계가 있는가?, 유아교사의 언어통제유형 상하 수준에 따라 창 의성에는 어떤 차이가 있는가?, 유아교사의 배경변인에 따라 언어통제유형과 창의성에는 어떤 차이 가 있는가?’로 설정하여 이를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과에서 첫째, 교사의 언어통제유형 중 명 령적 태도와 지위적 태도는 창의성 중 개방성과 모험추구에 부적인 관계에 있지만, 인성적 태도의 경우, 낮은 수준이긴 하지만 창의성에 정적 관계임을 확인하였다. 둘째, 지위적 태도와 인성적 태도 중 한 가지 태도는 상, 나머지 태도는 하에 속한 집단의 창의성 평균이 가장 높았고, 지위적 태도 가 높았던 집단의 창의성이 모든 태도가 낮았던 집단에 비해서도 낮았다. 셋째, 교사의 연령과 경력에 따라 언어통제유형에 차이가 확인되었지만 근무기관에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 유아교사 연령에 따른 창의성은 20∼29세 교사가 30∼39세, 교사의 비해 창의성이 높았고 유아교사 경력에 따른 창의성 차이는 5년 미만 교사집단이 10년 이상 경력의 교사에 비해 높았음이 확인되었다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation of early childhood teacher’s language control type and creativity. A survey was conducted toward 150 regular teachers at daycare centers and kindergartens located in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study were as follows; first, the imperative and positional attitudes among early childhood teacher’s language control type were negatively correlated to openness and adventure pursuit among creativity. In the case of character attitude, however, it was positively correlated to creativity, despite being at a low level. Second, the group with one of positional and character attitudes being at the high level and the other being at the low level was found to have the highest average in the creativity. The group with higher level of positional attitude was found with lower level of creativity even compared to one with low levels of all attitudes. Third, there were differences in the langage control type depending on the age and career of teacher, but no differences depending on a work place were observed. Fourth, the group of teachers from 20–29 years old was found with higher level of creativity compared to that from 30 to 39 years old. The group of teachers with 5 years’teaching experience or less was found with higher level of creativity compared to that with over 10 years’teaching experience.
