Life History Research of a Librarian Who Has Transformed Her Life and Dreams through Reading

독서를 통해 삶의 꿈과 전환을 이룬 사서의 생애사 연구

본 연구는 평생교육으로서의 독서를 통해 자신의 꿈을 이루어간 한 사서의 생애사를 살펴봄으로써 성인들에게 꿈을 제공하고 그 꿈을 이루게 하는데 독서가 매우 유용한 것임을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 국립중앙도서관 사서이자 독서교육자로 활동하는 L사서의 경력 경로와 경력 발달과정을 생애사적으로 포착하고, 전문성 개념의 파악을 위해 3차례에 걸친 내러티브 인터뷰를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 질적 자료에 대한 분석 및 해석은 생애사적 접근을 통해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 비록 한 개인의 생애사 연구이지만 본 연구의 결과를 통해 첫째로 평생교육으로서의 독서의 중요성을 부각시키고, 둘째로 삶의 꿈과 전환을 이루고자 하는 다양한 분야의 성인들에게 독서를 통해 자신의 꿈을 이룰 수 있는 방향잡이가 될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to find out how reading is very useful to provide dreams to adults and to fulfill their dreams by looking at the life history of a librarian who achieved his dream through reading as a lifelong education. For this purpose, I collected the data through three narrative interviews in order to capture career path and career development of L -librarian who is a national library librarian and book reader and to understand the concept of professionalism. Analysis and interpretation of the collected qualitative data was carried out through a life - history approach. Although this study is a life history study of an individual, the results of this study emphasize the importance of reading as lifelong education, and secondly, I think that it can become a directioner to achieve.
