교사소진척도(TBS) 타당화 연구

A Validation Study of the Teacher Burnout Scale

본 연구는 Seidman과 Zager(1987)가 개발한 교사소진척도(Teacher Burnout Scale, 이하 TBS)를 번안하여 국내 교사를 대상으로 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 TBS의 구성요인을 확인하고 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 원척도를 번역과 역번역 하였고, 예비문항(21문항)에 대하여 초·중등 교사 230명을 대상으로 한 설문을 통해 최종문항을 선정하였다. 여기에서 내적일치도와 개별문항과 총점 간의 상관이 낮은 13번 문항을 삭제하였으며, 탐색적 요인분석에서 요인 부하량에 대한 기준에 따라 6번 문항을 추가로 삭제하였다. 533명의 교사를 대상으로 한 설문을 통해 타당도를 검증하여 4개 하위개념에 대한 확인적 요인분석 결과 양호한 적합지수를 얻었고, 이를 통해 교직 만족 5문항, 행정지원의 지각 6문항, 직무스트레스의 지각 5문항, 학생에 대한 태도 3문항으로 구성된 한국형 TBS 19문항이 확인되었다. 4개의 하위요인과 19개의 문항으로 구성된 한국형 TBS 는 신뢰도와 타당도가 양호한 교사소진 측정 도구임이 확인되었다.

This study was conducted to validate the teachers’ burnout scale (TBS) developed by Seidman and Zager (1987) for Korean teachers. To do this, we checked the components of TBS and verified their validity and reliability. The original questionnaire was translated and then back-translated, and the final questions were selected through surveys conducted on elementary and secondary teachers about the preliminary questions (21 questions). In this study, item 13, which had low correlation between internal consistency and individual item and total score, was deleted, and item 6 was further deleted according to the criterion for factor loading in exploratory factor analysis. The validity was verified through the questionnaire survey on 533 teachers. The validity factor analysis of the four subcategories showed a fine fit index, and as a result, 5 items on teacher satisfaction, 6 items on administrative support, 5 items on the perception of job stress and 3 items on the attitude toward the student were obtained. Korean TBS, which is composed of 4 sub-factors and 19 items in total, is confirmed to be a tool for measuring teacher exhaustion with high reliability and validity.
