노인의 생애에 기초한 아트 북 제작 수업 연구

A Study on Art book Production Class Based on the Life of the Elderly:

전 세계적으로 신생아 출생률이 저하되고 있는 반면 기대수명이 길어져 사회의 고령화가 진행되고 있다. 특히 우리나라는 2000년에 고령화 사회에 진입한 이후 2026년에 초 고령사회로 진입할 것으로 전망된다. 노인인구가 증가함에 따라 길어진 노년기는 자연스럽게 인생에서 매우 중요한 시기로 인식되고 있다. 행복한 노년기를 위해 어떻게 살 것인가는 이제 개인만의 문제가 아니며 우리 모두의 문제이다. 이에 연구자는 아트 북 제작과정을 통해 노인들이 자기를 새롭게 돌아보고 자기 주도 학습 역량의 증진을 도모하고자 한다. 이를 위해 노인의 생애에 기초한 미술교육의 개념과 필요성을 살펴보고 C양로원의 노인학습자들과 함께 학습자 개개인의 내러티브를 담은 아트북을 제작하여 그 가치를 검증하였다. 수업을 진행한 결과 첫째, 노인학습자들은 아트북을 제작하는 과정을 통해 미적 경험을 할 수 있었다. 둘째, 아트 북 제작과정을 통해 자신의 생애를 반추하고 타인과 공유함으로써 자아 성찰을 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 노인학습자들은 수업 후 자기 주도적 학습태도를 개발시킬 수 있었다. 또한 노인학습자가 수업 후에도 지속적인 자기 주도 학습을 할 수 있으려면 학습이 가능한 환경조성이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Recently newborn birth rates have been declining around the world. On the other hand the average life expectancy is prolonged and society is aging. Especially Korea has become an aging society in 2000 and then is expected to become a super aged society in 2026. As the elderly population increases, the stage of old age is naturally recognized as being a very important period in life. How to live a happy elderly life is no longer a personal matter. Therefore the researcher has suggested the life-based art book production class for the elderly and examined the connection between them and the world. In this study, the researcher tried to improve self–directed learning ability by looking back one s self through the art book production process. For this, the researcher examined the concept and necessity of art education based on the life of the elderly and verify the value of the art book with the narratives of the individual learners along with the elderly learners in a nursing home. Here are the results after the classes are as follows. First, elderly leaners were able to have aesthetic experience through the process of making art book. Second, elderly learners were able to reflect on their lives by the art book production process and by sharing it to others. Third, elderly learners were able to develop self-directed learning attitude after class. Also, the researcher suggests that it is necessary to create an environment that enables learners to learn steadily in addition to learner s motivation so that they can continue self-directed learning even after class.
