An Analysis on the Priority of Research Subjects on Farm Management Considering Field Applicability

This study analyzes the priority of research subjects on farm management considering field applicability through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on expert survey. The criteria system is composed of two level hierarchy: criteria and sub-criteria. First-level criteria consist of four main subjects: management system, distribution and marketing, management information, financial management. The first-level analysis result shows that management system is the most important criterion and financial management is the least important. The result from the second-level analysis with 13 sub-criteria by using a composite priority vector indicates that management consulting and consumer market research are the two most important and urgent sub-criteria. On the other hand, export promotion and investment analysis are the two least important and urgent sub-criteria. Future studies in farm management should be conducted considering the need of farm managers and field experts.
