Computer-mediated communication is one of the most useful tools in today s English education environment. Various different studies show the characteristics, benefits, and potential possibilities of CMC in second language acquisition. This study investigates the interactions among 34 university students in cyberspace using synchronous CMC and asynchronous CMC. English chatting was implemented for the synchronous computer mediated communication, and error-analysis and self-reflection were done as post-task activities. Participants analyzed their errors into grammatical and lexical errors. Soulect was used for the asynchronous interactions and was the primary tool for student feedback. This study shows that CMC can be used successfully for interactions in College English classes.
