A comparative Study on the Appreciation Field of Highschool Music Textbook by the Seventh Curriculum -Focused on Western music-

In Order to lead students to higher appreciation of music in class, teachers should help them participate in music class. For that, there is nothing important than a good textbook as a teaching material. For serving this purpose good and diverse pieces of music are needed and music for appreciation included in the textbooks, important resources for music education in school, works as a primary criterion in actual music class. There were totally 42people who were western music composers at the classified by composer grouping. Among them, Beethoven was written down at the textbook of eight kinds and Bach took a great deal of weight by being the appreciation tunes listed in eight kinds of texts were largely classified into vocal pieces and instrumental pieces. Vocal pieces were classified into mass pieces, oratorios, art songs, operas, and cantata etc. instrumental pieces were classified into orchestras, symphonies, suites, chamber music, concertos, sonatas, operas, overtures, solos, and dance music. Ratio of entire vocal pieces had most a lot of opera with 21 pieces, and eight kinds of mass pieces as presented to textbook all. There are most a lot of suites with 19 pieces in instrumental pieces. Such preponderance in the music of listening is the problem for students to meet evenly with the music of the diversified cultural areas of times. Therefore, wish the more harmonious and balanced music education may be developed at school sites by improving the problems. In relation to this fact, writers, publishers, and music teachers should continue the study on appreciation areas to improve the musical sense and creativity of students.
