The purpose of this paper is to present one of the integrated art education programs for young children s self concept enhancement. In order to fulfill the purpose of this study, three tasks are established. First, I try to investigate the theoretical bases of the integrated art education programs for young children s self concept enhancement through an examination of the preceding studies. Second, I try to examine the instruction-learning strategy and teacher s role in the integrated art education. Third, I try to suggest one of integrated art education programs by means of the confectionery project to be able to enhance young children s self concept. The self concept is the basis of the personality and behavioral development of young children through their whole life. Since the self concept is generally important to the early childhood, it is necessary to find desirable programs that are compatible with the early childhood. The art education is one of education disciplines to enhance the young children s self concept. Art provides a visual language used to express ideals about something - events, people, objects, emotions, or concepts. And then the art provides a contribution to human intellectual and perceptual development, and self-realization. Therefore, the art education can provide an chance for young children to enhance their self concept. Above all, the integrated art education program through integration of the arts with other disciplines is conducive to young children s self concept enhancement. In conclusion, the integrated art education program by means of the confectionery project is able to contribute to the development of education programs for young children s self concept enhancement.
