기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동이 유아의 미술성향과 조망수용능력에 미치는 영향

A Study on the Effects of Early Childhood Design Education Program Activities Based on Brain-Compatible Learning Principles on Children s Art Dispositions and Perspective Taking Ability

본 연구는 뇌 기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동이 유아의 미술성향과 조망수용능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 J시에 소재한 I유치원 만 5세반 유아 39명이다. 본 연구는 2017년 7월 10일부터 9월 8일까지 8주에 걸쳐 주 2회씩 총 16회에 걸쳐 실험집단 유아들에게는 뇌 기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동을, 비교집단 유아들에게는 만 5세 누리과정에 기초한 미술 활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 뇌 기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동을 한 실험집단 유아들이 비교집단 유아들보다 미술성향 점수가 높았다. 둘째, 뇌 기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동을 한 실험집단 유아들은 비교집단 유아들보다 조망수용능력 점수가 높았다. 이러한 결과는 뇌 기반 학습 원리를 적용한 유아 디자인 활동이 유아의 미술성향과 조망수용능력 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 시사해준다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 뇌 기반 학습 원리에 기초한 유아 디자인 활동이 유아의 미술성향과 조망수용능력을 함양하는데 기여할 것으로 기대할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to suggest the effects of early childhood design program on brain-compatible learning principles. For this aim, we selected thirty-nine five years old children of I kindergarten in J city. One class was assigned to an experimental group and had early childhood education design education program activities based on brain-compatible learning principles and the other class assigned to a comparative group the general art education program activities for eight weeks. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in their art dispositions. Second, participants in the experimental group also higher on perspective taking ability. Therefore, early childhood design education program activities on brain-compatable learning principles should be considered as meaningful alternative method for promoting children s art dispositions and perspective taking ability.
