국외 한국학 관련 커리큘럼 분석 * - 프랑스 주요 대학의 한국학 커리큘럼을 중심으로 -

An analysis on curricular of Korean studies abroad : With a focus on Korean studies curricular of several major universities in France

이 연구는 국외 대학에서의 한국학 관련 커리큘럼의 내용과 구성을 살펴보면서 그 문제점을 분석하고 개선 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 연구에서는 특히 프랑스 주요 대학의 한국학 관련 커리큘럼을 중심으로 살펴보았 다. 이를 위해 먼저 프랑스를 비롯한 유럽에서의 한국학 관련 커리큘럼에 대한 기존 연구를 전반 적으로 검토하여 그 성과와 한계를 짚어보았다. 다음으로 프랑스에서 한국학 과정이 개설되어 있는 주요 3개 대학, 즉 파리7대학교, 국립동양 언어문화대학, 사회과학고등연구원에서 운영하고 있는 한국학 커리큘럼을 한국학 일반과 한국 어 교육의 두 측면으로 나누어 구체적으로 분석 했다. 이 과정에서 각 커리큘럼을 실질적으로 운영하고 있는 전임급 교수진의 직위와 전공도 함께 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 이 연구는 이들 주요 대학의 한국학 커리큘럼이 가진 특성과 문제점을 (1) 한국학 커리큘럼 내 한국어 교육 강의, (2) 한국학의 한 분야로서의 한국어학, (3) 프랑스 주요 대학 간 역할 분담 등의 세 가지 측면에서 분석하고 한국학의 질적 발전을 위해 필요한 개선 방향을 모색하였다.

The purpose of this study is to seek for improvement in the curricular of Korean studies abroad through an analysis on the problem of their content and composition, specially with a focus on Korean studies curricular of several major universities in France. First of all, this study reviews some preceding studies and points out their achievements and limitations. And then, Korean studies curricular of three major french universities, that is to say Université Paris 7(Diderot), Institut National des langues et Civilisations Orientales(INALCO), and L Ecole des Hautes Etues en Sciences Sociales(EHESS) are concretely analysed in terms of both Koreanology curricular and Korean language education curricular. In this process, the status and major field of full-time professors of these three institutions are also examined. Finally, this study gropes for the qualitative improvement of Korean studies abroad through the examination the problems of these curricular in three aspects, that is (1) Korean language education course in the Korean studies curricular, (2) Korean linguistics as one area of Korean studies, and (3) role division between three major french universities.
