The business activities of woman CEO, Hye-Sook Kang and the development of Hangyoung Kangaroo Co., Ltd.

This study is approached to the growth and development of Hanyoung Kangaroo Company which is the best enterprise of the leather glove industry in Korea. And this paper is researched on her management thought and business activities of woman CEO, Hye-Sook Kang who has played an important roles in the growth and development of the firm as a boss of Hanyoung Kangaroo Company. The firm was founded by Young-il Kang in 1955 as a small venture business which had made the leather gloves. Although the firm has undergone too much ordeal because of two fires, it was built the business base of strong company by founder. The entrepreneurship of founder were diligence, sincerity, honesty, confidence and the spirit of craftsman. In 1976, the firm was named as Hanyoung corporation. However, the boss was changed to Hye-Sook Kang who is a first daughter of founder. After that, she has reconstructed the best company of domestic same enterprises through the improvement of new products and the cultivation of the abroad export market. She has tried to use the diversified management strutegies for business growth and deve1opment of the company. And she has changed the name of the company into Hanyoung Kangaroo Corporation in 1996. Hye-Sook Kang, who is a current president of the firm, has a management ideology, “the order is competitive power.” Upon the basis of her management creed, she is trying to make inroads into international market as world business enterprise in globalization.
