The business activities and entrepreneurship of woman CEO jung-ja kim - The case of Yujin machinery industry ltd -

One of the fameous Korean entrepreneur President, Jung-Ja Kim established Yujin Machinery Ltd. in 1972. Specially, the company was designated as a specialized manufacturer or Railway Vehicle Equipment in 1980, and she built the main factory in Ansan city and maIn office moved into Ansan industrial Estate. For technical innovation of railway vehicle equipment, Yujin Machinery Industrial Co. achieved technical licence agreement with Toyo Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd. of Japan in 1983 and technical license agreement with WABCO of the United States and NABCO of Japan for brake system and also, same agreement with Westing Brake Co. Ltd. of United Kingdom. The business philosophy and objective of Yujin Machunery Industrial Co. are “confirmation, commitment, conclusion”. It does mean four steps of planning, doing, checking, action for manufacturing Brake system, Driving system, Pantograph of railway vehicle equipment. Specially she strengthen four objectives of the company ideology as following. ① Safety of manufacturing brake system ② Creditability of default zero of the parts. ③ Maximum benefits of employees of organization ④ Strengthen competative power of organization member and cooperation with other countries.
