A study on the quality activity and standardization in Europe

With EC unification, quality control activity in Europe introduced ISO 9000 series and CE marking for harmonious mutual certification in EC. Concerning council decision of European Community, manufactured goods related safety, health, environment should be used CE marking in order to facilite controls on the community market by inspectors and to clarify the obligation of economic operators in respect of marking the various community regulations. From January 1, 1997, in order to export to EEC(European Economic Community) CE marking shoud be obtained. Now many enterprises in Korea are obtainning CE marking in products and Instrument products. Operating EU Standard and Certification Institution in EU Standardization Organization develop and use procedures for mutual recognition of EU marking and test & inspection of goods produced in Europe.
