단일체계 연구방법을 이용한 가족치료

Application of single system design in family therapy: using SSD as an empirical-clinical practice model

가족치료가 임상사회사업의 중요한 실천방법으로 활용되면서 가족치료의 효과성을 실증적으로 연구하려는 관심이 높아지게 되었으나 가족치료자와 연구자간의 양분화된 역할과 과학적인 연구방법의 부족은 실증적인 가족치료 연구에 제한을 주었다. 따라서 본 연구는 단일체계연구를 활용한 가족치료를 실증적-실천모델로 제시함으로서 치료자가 사지의 치료개입을 객관적으로 평가할 수 있고 이를 바탕으로 보다 효과적인 치료개입을 제고할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 일반적인 단일체계연구의 특징을 소개하고 이를 실제적인 가족치료에 적용할 수 있는 구체적인 방법을 설명하였다.

The family therapy field encourages clinicians and researchers to integrate clinical practice with research method for evaluating effectivenss of therapy. However, empirically oriented family therapy is not well developed. In response to this gap, this paper presents single system design as an empirical-clinical practice model for evaluating family process and outcome. Single system design has shown promise for integrating practice and research methodology as the therapist works with his individual clinet, family, group, and community. This paper discusses the need for the development of new research designs for family therapy evaluation, and a manner for meeting that need. Also this paper presents potential benefits of application of single system design in the practice of family therapy. Using single system design may benefit the therapist in improving the nature of therapy. For the family researcher, and ultimately for the therapist, use of single system design can form the base for generating new family therapy theory and skills to be tested.
