부부갈등이 성인초기 미혼 자녀의 이성과의 친밀감 위험과 성행동에 미치는 영향

The Influence of Marital Conflict on Risk in Intimacy and Sexual Behaviors with the Opposite Sex of Early Adult

본 연구는 부부갈등에 노출된 경험이 성인초기 미혼 자녀의 이성과의 친밀감 위험과 성행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 데에 목적이 있으며, 이를 위해 서울과 수도권 지역의 대학교 5개교를 선정하여 총 414명의 대학생을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구결과를 요약하면 첫째, 전체 조사대학생들이 부모갈등에 노출된 정도는 총점 4점 기준으로 평균 2.0440이었으며, 이성과의 친밀감 위험 정도는 총점 4점 기준으로 평균 2.0613으로 나타났다. 조사 시점으로부터 지난 1년간 성행동 경험은 ‘자위행위’가 전체 응답자의 34%, ‘입맞춤이나 가벼운 포옹’이 69.8%, ‘진한 육체적 애무’는 43.5%, ‘성관계’는 26.8%가 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따라 친밀감 위험 정도는 여자가 남자보다 평균적으로 높았고, 전체적인 성행동 경험은 남자가 여자보다 많은 것이 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 부부갈등에 노출된 정도가 높은 자녀일수록 이성과의 친밀감을 형성하는 데에 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 성행동 경험이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 본 연구는 이성관계에서 어려움을 겪는 미혼 남녀의 문제를 이해하고 해결하는 방법으로서 부모의 갈등관계에 대한 사정과 성상담 프로그램의 조기개입, 남녀간의 차이가 고려된 프로그램 개발 등의 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influences that marital conflicts between parents have on their offspring in young adulthood, when the children themselves engage in intimate relationships and sexual behaviors with opposite sex. Subject of the study was 414 unmarried university students in early adulthood and the data was collected from five universities in the Seoul area. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, the degree of exposure to martial conflicts of parents was 2.0440 out of 4 as a maximum exposure. Also out of 4, the degree of risk in intimacy with the opposite sex was 2.0613. Furthermore, with regards to sexual behavior, 34% of all respondents engaged in masturbation, 69.8% in casual hugging or kissing, 43.5% in more intensive physical caressing, and 26.8% in sexual intercourse. Second, the risk in intimacy is appeared to be higher in male students; however, it is also statistically significant that males are proven to be more experienced in sexual behaviors. Third, the greater exposure to marital conflicts increase the risk of difficulty in intimate relationship their children have with the opposite sex. These children also engaged in sexual behaviors more frequently. Based on these results, in order to understand and resolve difficulties that unmarried adults experience in building intimate relationship, refined approach to marital conflicts of their parents, earlier sexual counseling or education program, and intervention accounted effects of gender differences are proposed.
